Privacy
Salt State Swim is a pre-launch label. This site collects your email address, only if you choose to give us one, and basic information about how the site is used, described under Analytics below.
What we collect
Your email address, plus which part of the page you signed up from and the date you did it. That's all the form asks for: no name and no account.
What we use it for
One note when the debut collection launches, and the occasional update about Salt State Swim before then. That's the whole purpose. We don't sell, rent or trade the list, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it
This site is hosted on Vercel. We don't keep a database of signups. When you join, your address is sent to us as an email, delivered through Resend, and that email is our only record. Each of them handles the data only to run that step for us. Usage data goes to the analytics providers described below.
Analytics
We run our own first party analytics to see how the site is used. It records the pages you view, how you found us (the referring site and any campaign tags in the link, such as the codes Google and Microsoft add to ad clicks), your approximate location (country, state and city, taken from your connection) and your device type, operating system and browser. We store the page address without any other part of the link, and we never store your IP address or your full browser details. When you join the list we count that a signup happened, but your email address is not part of analytics.
This analytics is provided by Pagecog, the company that looks after our website, which processes it for us as our service provider. The data is held on Pagecog's own servers, which run on Cloudflare and Railway and may be outside Australia. It is used only to report to us on how the site performs, and it is deleted automatically after 25 months.
We also use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find the site. You can opt out of it with Google's browser add-on.
Cookies
Our own analytics sets two first party cookies: pc_v, a random visitor identifier that lasts about 400 days, and pc_s, a random session identifier that expires after 30 minutes without activity. They contain no personal details and are used only to count visits and follow a visit through the site. Google Analytics sets its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
Coming off the list
Reply to any email we send you and ask to be removed, or send us a direct message on Instagram at @saltstateswim. We'll delete your address, and there's no confirmation loop to click through.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we'll action it. Handling follows the Australian Privacy Principles.
Changes
When the store opens this page will be rewritten to cover orders and payments. Until then, what's above is all of it.
